Volunteering

As part of living in a society and culture that takes from each other, we must also be willing to give. I volunteer with Project C.U.R.E. here in the Kansas City location. We sort medication supplies that have been donated. In turn these donations and requested items to locations around the world. There are thousands of not for profits that I could choose to work with, but this is one I feel strongly about. We received crucial medical care that not only made a difference, but saved, our family's life, and I want to be able to say that I was involved in helping save someone else's life. Here is a screen shot of the Project C.U.R.E. homepage. I've taken out all my personal information and left just the splash screen.

Today my daughter and I spent 3 hours in the initial sorting section of the warehouse. We went through boxes of donations from hospitals and clinics making sure the items being sent were not expired. By the end of our shift we knew that had been a part of making a difference on the medical front in hospitals and clinics that desperately need the supplies that are being sent.
