Originally I had decided that I would put regular postings on this blog three days during the work week. Monday would be Research, Wednesday on Writing, and Friday on Photography. Unfortunately, the holidays took a lot more out of me than I expected. I ended up with reactions from my chronic diseases that have made it difficult to keep this schedule.
I am still writing regularly. I have made submissions to journals and publications. The hard part is waiting to see if you are accepted. It is problematic to take nature photos when there isn't much going on in your locale, and you aren't getting out of the house regularly. My research is quiet right now. I'm working on my French regularly, helping my husband with research for his book, and reading a lot of historically themed-articles.
I'm also in charge of the social media for our other business. Seamlyne.com
We have been open for approximately 25 years, but just recently decided to use Social Media to gain more of an audience. Since my husband is the designer for the company, and I know more about using the different platforms, the division of labor seemed obvious. I have found that it is going to take some time to work out the workload between what I want to do here and what I need to do for Seamlyne.
I hope to give you an update about my writing tomorrow. For now, though, I wanted to let you know I haven't given up this space. I'm proud of the pieces I'm producing, and hope you can see them too.
